We are inviting all queens, kings and things to celebrate the ghoulishness of Halloween at the Burdekin Hotel with Sydney Gaymers and Mphilly. Whether you’ve just crawled out of the grave or know your way around a mausoleum or two, performers of all skill levels are welcome to compete for a Halloween title and take home some wicked prizes!

It’s not just the performers who get a chance to win! There will also be a best-dressed competition for anyone too spooked to perform, but still want to be a part of the monster mash.

The fun doesn’t stop there! Sydney Gaymers will be keeping you and your ghoulfriends entertained throughout the night with a selection of horrifying games to keep you on your toes. So, grab your Player 2 and get ready for a night of unforgettable entertainment! But, be warned: there will be (fake) blood!

Open Stage for All: The stage is open to performers of all skill levels, so come dressed in your most bewitching costumes and prepare to mesmerize the crowd. Whether you’re lip-syncing, dancing, or delivering a killer monologue, everyone is welcome to bring their most spine-chilling act to the stage!

Sign up for the open stage by emailing your details to mphillyartist@gmail.com. All levels of experience are welcome, and slots are first-come, first-served, so don’t delay!

Tickets: $10 pre-sale. No one will be turned away due to financial difficulty, so please reach out to the organisers if you need assistance.

Accessibility: The Burdekin Hotel is an accessible venue with elevator access, however please reach out to the organisers if you require any additional support on the night. Some of performances on the night may have confronting/adult themes, and trigger warnings will be provided where possible. Please take care of yourself and others.

Blood And Glitter will be held on Gadigal land, a part of the Eora Nation, which always was and will always be Aboriginal Land. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded.

Blood And Glitter is an inclusive space for everyone, no matter your race, gender, sexuality, spirituality, or ability. Anyone causing (non-consensual) chaos, drama, or trouble will be asked to leave the venue.
